The Encouragement Project:
Share your courage
We don’t typically think of ourselves as the makers of miracles.
We yearn to make our ideas come to life. It takes more than courage to step out of your comfort zone. It takes commitment, intention, and a willingness to become an observer of yourself and others. As you give life to the little ideas that pop into your awareness, you unleash your power to create miracles every single day.
This is a process. You didn’t learn to walk in a day, did you? So be gentle with yourself … and persistent in your effort.
Encouragement is rocket fuel.
It acts as propulsion agent with people—and probably dogs—but definitely not cats. It provides the tipping point for success, for moving forward, and for action to make a dream come true. It is the one common denominator in every single success story you hear—from the most famous athletes to CEOs to Presidents. They all had at least one person who made sure they knew they had what it took to reach their goals.
Encouragement is given through an intentional act of kindness to oneself or others that emboldens, inspires, boosts motivation, or fosters internal confidence so that one dares to do what seems difficult—or even impossible.
It is one of the most powerful tools we have, and yet, we use it randomly rather than intentionally. Getting good at it takes a little practice. It’s like a muscle—it gets stronger the more you use it. The best part is that it is as good for the giver as it is for the receiver.
The Encouragement Project intends to share the tools and techniques for learners, leaders and creatives to build this muscle. Through community, social media and workshops, it will provide learning and tools and with a model for others. It will inspire success and courage through the use of intentional and everyday acts of encouragement.
Think of The Encouragement Project as your lightning rod for launching into unknown paths and worlds that keeps you putting one foot in front of another, as you discover the path before you with courage and confidence.
